Stephen’s Road to GM

Congratulations to Stephen Townsend, Preston Automotive Group’s 2024 General Manager of the Year!
Stephen’s journey in the automotive industry is one defined by perseverance, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. He began his career in 2002 at a Cadillac dealership while still attending college, starting in the detail department. Over the years, he worked his way up through nearly every corner of the fixed ops department: from Service Advisor to Service Manager, Parts Manager to Service Director, and eventually to General Manager at Pittsville Ford.
Powering PAG’s Progress
Since joining Preston Automotive Group in May 2018, Stephen has become integral to our story. He’s been with Pittsville Ford for all five of their Presidents’ Awards and even served as GM for two of them, helping guide the team to these prestigious recognitions. His ability to lead with empathy, hold high standards, and foster a customer-first culture has impacted the entire dealership.
